SI units in electrical/electronics engineering
To measure and communicate the physical quantities of voltage, current, and resistance, we use Volt [V], Ampere[A], and Ohm [Ω], respectively.
Sometimes to compare among very small quantities, it is very convenient to use scaled units rather than numbers. E.g., communicating 10μF is easier and more informational than 10-5F.
The electrical units of measurement are based on the International (metric) System, also known as the SI System, with other commonly used electrical units derived from SI base units.
